Josh Lawhorn is a Cleveland-based stand-up comedian and filmmaker who is heavily involved in both of those worlds.  He is a former U.S. Marine who takes his intense energy and life experiences and turns them into a fun and hilarious experience for all audiences.

Josh is a regular host at Funny Stop Comedy Club in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He is a co-producer many successful shows in Cleveland such as “Craft Laughs at Great Lakes Brewing Company” which takes place every Monday night 8 p.m. and “Comedy Cabin at East End Bistro” which takes every Thursday night 9 p.m.  Comedy Cabin won Best Room at the Cleveland Comedy Awards which took place at Hilarities East 4th Theater in 2018.  Previously, Josh produced “Hilario at Barrio” on Monday nights which also won the award of Best Comedy Showcase at the Cleveland Comedy Awards.   

Josh is also noted for his charitable contributions as he has hosted several veteran sponsored events in conjunction with the Student Veteran Association at Cleveland State University. He performed on the Nautica Cruise for Veterans Night & Vet Fest at the Alex Theater at the Metropolitan at the 9 in 2018 respectively.

Josh was the runner up in the preliminary round of the “World Series of Comedy - Cleveland” which took place at Hilarities East 4th Theater in 2017.  Josh also appears on the Mike Polk Jr. Show which takes place at Hilarities East 4th Theater.

Josh is also equally involved in acting and film making.  He graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in Film & Interactive Media in 2018. Some of Josh’s film accolades include winning 3rd Place for Best Film in the Cleveland 48 Hour Film Project HORROR in 2018 as well as being nominated for Best Actor in the 48 Hour Film Project in 2018. Josh can be seen at comedy clubs and shows all over the country.
